Perfectly pretty pastels
You'd have to have been living under Nicki Minaj's wig not to notice the huge pastel trend this season. Whether it's lilac eyes, Louis Vuitton mint coats, or bubblegum hair shades, THIS is the trend to embrace, says Ken Picton.
Launching his new Pastel Couture colour technique, Cardiff-based Ken says:
“This summer's hot trend is for more muted pastel tones, worked into natural bases - a trend we've adapted from the spring/summer collections of Louis Vuitton and Paul Smith. The technique is all in the application; layer upon layer of our custom tones are applied all over or glossed over highlights, to create depth and texture, as the tones vary from candy floss pinks and cool, twilight blues to delicate lavenders and dusty tangerines.”
