One of the stunning RUSH Artistic Team models
Pushing entrants to create hair influenced by the catwalk, last night's L'Oréal Colour Trophy 2012 competition played host to a wealth of hair expertise and provided some great hair inspiration for the coming year.
Over 1,000 people attended the glittering event, held at London's Grosvenor House Hotel, to watch Channel 4's Rick Edwards present a night of creative awards and two stunning and very different hair shows from Peter Gray and the RUSH Artistic Team.
Awards included Colour Trophy, Men's Image, Young Colourist and Afro Catwalk, sponsored by Mizani, but the highlight of the night went to the RUSH art team, simply for the beautiful, sexy hair showcased. This was wearable hair with a high-octane glam factor. The 15 minute show also included a performance by up and coming singer Ruby Goe - whose beehive was oversize and belted.
Peter Gray's show was just as enticing; his 'zoo' theme left us thinking of the film Where The Wild Things Are, as models wore otherworldly hair structures that must have taken hours to prepare. A true example of fashion meeting hair.
