We were up watching the Grammys last night, and as always, for us, the hair and makeup is way more important than who won what!

We'd rather let our images do the talking, but style standouts when it came to their red carpet looks included our very own winner, Adele. Sporting a shorter but still just as retro 'do, Adele looked every inch a star with matt red lipstick and filmstar lined lashes.

Someone who also looked a little different was Nicky Minaj. Usually known for her pop art-style makeup looks, Nicki went for beautifully nude skin that glistened - the perfect complement to her Versace-designed Little Red Riding Hood cape and dress.

Rihanna was spotted with a relaxed curly look, opting to team it with nude makeup for the red carpet and adding a deep burgundy lipstick for the show; sat next to a newly crimped Katy Perry, the two were probably the most talked about guests/performers of the night - or perhaps that was due to the fact that RiRi's 24k gold nail polish would set the average human back $5k?

Elsewhere on the red carpet we loved Corinne Bailey Rae's perfectly pretty curls, and Kelly Rowland - who already won points for her choice of dress - went for a side parting, slicked on both sides, allowing her gorgeous curls to go untamed at the back.

Who do you think deserves some red carpet praise?
