She's a modern day Nancy Sinatra with her soulful, sometimes sombre sound, but one thing we love more than Lana Del Rey's Video Games - on repeat at sohairobsessed HQ!- is her retro look.
Award-winning hairdresser and senior stylist at Josh Wood's Atelier, Leigh Keates reveals how to steal Lana’s retro waves.
“To achieve Lana’s gorgeous waves, begin by using a curling tool such as the Cloud Nine Wand (RRP £119.95), and select the heat you want – low if you have coloured/processed hair or medium high for naturally straight, limp hair.
“Next, starting at the root, wrap sections around the base of the wand or tong, twisting the hair as you go. Hold for 10 seconds maximum, then release the section, tugging the end slightly to encourage an ‘S’ wave. Work from the nape to the crown until complete. Once the hair has cooled brush through from top to bottom with a bristle brush. Lastly spritz the brush with hairspray and run it over for sleek, uniformed glamorous waves, just like Ms. Del Rey."
