Coachella's over but the festival season is just getting underway, and between now and September, there are many opportunities to channel your inner boho chick with flower power makeup and tousled hair. Here we offer up the not so obvious things you'll need for your next festival visit - the things that keep you feeling - and looking - human.
fresh breath = fresh outlook (for those around you!)
There's nothing worse than 'sensing' someone's morning breath on your daily commute, but for some reason, standards seem to drop even further when you're letting everything hang out at the festivals. Don't fall into that trap - get yourself some two-in-one toothpaste and mouthwash, and carry around a handy tin of mints. Your fellow festival-goers will thank you for it.
lash out
Here at sohairobsessed.com we don't believe in roughing it - just because you're camping, sorry, glamping, doesn't mean you shouldn't make some effort with your regime - after all, you never know when Jay-Z and Bey might be passing. A quick and easy route to glam is flash lashes - as big, or as natural, as you prefer.
catch some zzzz's
Okay, we know a festival isn't a place of zen-like calm, and that you're expected to stay up all hours, but aiming for a decent night's sleep will reduce alcohol-induced puffy eyes and stop you living in an out of control 'sleep deficit' state once you get back home! Ensure no interruptions with a sleep mask.
drink it, spray it
Dehydration isn't just an issue at international festivals; you need to stay cool and hydrated at home too. When you're not drinking your daily allowance, spritz your face with a cooling mineral water mist. It'll make you look dewy too!
defend and protect
You'd have to be ever so slightly dim to not know about the ravaging effects of the sun, but many of us seem to think of festivals as a time to forget all our worries, including those that affect our skin. Don't be stupid - invest in a good SPF and apply liberally. Then get back to partying.
de-tangle, de-stress
When it comes to glamping it's all about tousled, not tangled hair. Letting your hair go for a couple of days can lead to horrid knots, and we don't want you having to get a trim purely due to laziness, do we? Invest in a Travel Tangle Teezer and you'll have a friend for life.
